#3 Subjective and Objective Pronouns-

     Read the following sentences. Pay attention to the underlined words. 

•     I'm your English teacher
•    You may call me Tiwi. 

     The underlined words are called subjective pronouns. A subjective pronouns is a pronoun which acts as the subjects of a sentence.

     Now, pay attention to the words in bold in the following sentences. 
      →   Please call me Mrs. Ela. 
      →   I'll introduce you to them. 

     The words in bold are called objective pronouns. An objective pronouns is a pronoun which acts as the object of a sentence. 

     Study the following table.

Examples:

1. Mr. Johan is our English teacher. He teaches us every Wednesday. I often meet him in the school garden.
2. Nastiti lives at Jalan Pegangsaan Timur no. 30. She always keeps her house clean. We're seeing her now.

3. English is very important. It provides us with knowledge. Besides, we use it to communicate with foreigners.

Note : The underlined words are subjective pronouns, while the words in bold are objective pronouns.
